SunSpot ("we", "our", or "the app") was built with a fundamental commitment to user privacy. We do not collect, track, share, or sell any of your personal data. SunSpot operates on an on-device first architecture.
When you use the AI Plant Identification feature, plant photos you capture or select are transmitted securely to our cloud AI infrastructure (hosted on Google Cloud Platform) for real-time botanical classification. Images are processed ephemerally in real time and are not stored permanently, not sold to third parties, and not used to train public artificial intelligence models.
Your saved spots, folders, and plant care records sync seamlessly between your personal devices using Apple's secure CoreData & CloudKit infrastructure. Your data is stored directly in your private Apple iCloud container and encrypted by Apple. We have zero access to your iCloud data.
All in-app purchases, subscriptions, and free trials are processed directly by Apple StoreKit. We never see, process, or store your credit card, billing address, or payment details.
SunSpot contains zero third-party tracking SDKs, zero advertising frameworks, and zero analytics trackers.
